lyrics
Lost an itch inside, swallowed high.
Silence lost the words for what’s bothering you.
Grammar squeezed by a cold clamp.
Dictator’s disguise, for which you ought care for.
Remembering everyone for what they didn’t do.
Perhaps the think
the same for you.
Studious in hunting for a way off the hook.
Taken for the worst, your name’s in a book somewhere.
A new asylum formed on this side of near.
What the others did, they admitted to.
A mask of flesh floats on a set of legs and talks
With no voice.
Perhaps they think it’s best for you.
Your familiar presence, one I try my best to ignore.
How much longer should we spill blood for a bloodless bore?

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
Melvins fans will flip for this lost ’90s indie classic, with its sludgy guitars, hypnotic rhythms and irresistible hooks. Essential. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 13, 2020

This one really goes deep. Tremendously heavy and bleak, yet crushingly groovy as well. You can easily see these guys destroying any venue they'd hit live with this. The heavy hitting slow to mid-tempo tunes are sort of tranceinducing. It's very easy to listen to it multiple times in a row or even get lost in it totally. mourner
